Marc! was in Miami for the Sony Ericsson open last week, but he wasn’t just there as a fixture on Team Nadal. Nope, he was in the doubles draw with some other, other guy (Bellucci). They won their first round match (which cruelly took place at the same time as that other guy was stinking up the court in his doubles match) against Kas/Norman 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 . In their second round match, however, they went down to the eventual winners and #3 seeds Dlouhy/Paes by an eerily similar score of 6-4, 3-6, 8-10.
During the week, Marc! also served as a hitting partner for that other guy – some photos from some of their sessions will follow eventually. (Hey, I have a lot to sort through!)

Yep, Marc! and some other guy won the Indian Wells doubles title. How freaking awesome is that? The match ended with oodles of hugs and bouncy smiles from the two boys. It was…well, perhaps the most awesome display of cuteness evah.

…and do it well. First, they take down the #3 seeds at Indian Wells. Then, they take out Verdasco/F Lopez in a match that saw natural smiley adorkableness take out tries-too-hard beauty. (Match report). And today, they beat Llodra/A Ram and are into the semis. Go Team Cuteness, go!

The doubles draw is out and guess who’s on it? Yes! The cutest doubles team evah! That’s right, Marc! and some other guy will team up to play the #3 seeds in the first round. It’ll be tough…can they do it? If they do and if Feli and Nando win their first round, they would play each other. The court might explode from the hotness.

Marc! teamed up with some other guy to take in the 3rd seeded doubles team of Fyrstenberg/Matkowski. Since the broadcast world hates doubles, no one but the audience in Doha could actually watch the match. No one should ever be denied such epic cuteness.
Marc! and the other guy started of by breaking in the first game. They were broken in the 4th game to put things back on serve. Team Cute broke again in the 7th game to go up 4-3 and went on to take the set 6-4. They were broken in the second game of the second set and didn’t get on the scoreboard until they held in the 4th. The went on to lose the second set 2-6. Fyrstenberg/Matkowski rolled in the super tiebreak set – winning it (10-3) and the match. Final score: 6-4, 2-6, 3-10.

Per the finally updated qualifying draw, it looks like Marc! withdrew due to a right hamstring problem. I hope Marc! is okay. Will the cutest doubles team evah still get to rock the house?
